| I served on board the Nantahala in 1962-63 as a GMG2 in fox division. Someone came up with the idea for a flag to be used during refueling operations and obtained the Captain's permission. For the entire two years I was on board we flew the flag, a busty young woman with the caption Nasty Nan under her picture.
This flag flew from the yardarm during every refueling operation. Sorry, I can't give credit to the artist, but I believe it was someone in the Engineering Department.
